California Title 24, 2016

California was among the first states to adopt building standards to regulate energy consumption. Known as Title 24, it is a huge body of law that contains the practical requirements for the California Building Code that deals with energy efficiency standards. These energy codes change every three years. The latest version of these standards, Title 24 2016, will be effective on January 1, 2017, and apply to all newly constructed or altered buildings.
